The Israeli military has ordered the forced evacuation of seven villages as it ramps up attacks on southern Lebanon.
Colonel Avichay Adraee, the Israeli military's Arabic-language spokesman, said in a post on his X account on Sunday that in response to Hezbollah’s alleged breach of the ceasefire agreement, the military “is compelled to take decisive action against it.”
He further identified the specific villages impacted by the evacuation order south of the Litani River.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed these sentiments during a weekly cabinet meeting, alleging that Hezbollah was undermining the ceasefire agreed upon by Israel and Lebanon.
“It must be understood that Hezbollah's violations are, in practice, dismantling the ceasefire,” he said.
Hezbollah has been responding to Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, which has killed nearly 2,500 people since April 2.

To enforce the latest warning, the Israeli military disseminated leaflets over the Mansouri village in the Sour district of southern Lebanon, urging civilians to refrain from entering approximately two dozen villages within the vicinity.
Adraee reiterated in a post that access to the zones around the Litani River and other specific locations, including Wadi Salhania, and Saluki, was restricted.
He also specified numerous villages located within the Israeli-established "Yellow Line," approximately 10 kilometers into southern Lebanon, where the return of residents is prohibited.
The latest development comes as the Israeli regime continues its military aggression in the region, and the systematic destruction of Lebanese border towns.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), at least seven individuals were killed in the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon a day earlier. The Health Ministry reported that 24 people were injured in the raids, including three children.
Israel and Lebanon implemented a ten-day cessation of hostilities on April 17.
On April 23, US President Donald Trump announced the extension of the agreed ceasefire for three more weeks.
Israel is occupying a belt of the south that extends 5 to 10 kilometers into Lebanon. The Israeli regime's military has reiterated a warning to residents of south Lebanon not to cross into the area.
