The secretary general of the Iraqi Kata'ib Hezbollah resistance movement says the US-Israeli war led to a historic victory for Iran, stating that the Islamic Republic's resilience and retaliation in the face of the aggression has created new equations in the region.

In a statement released on Saturday, Abu Hussain al-Hamidawi, described the 40-day US - Israeli offensive as a major triumph for Iran and the regional Axis of Resistance.

He added that global arrogant powers, faced with the steely willpower and steadfastness of regional forces, had no option but to accept equations which did not exist earlier.

Hamidawi stated that the military confrontation between Iran on one side and the American-Israeli enemy on the other has further clarified the boundary between truth and falsehood.

He emphasized that even though the battle has ended for the time being, the essence of the struggle is ongoing and existential, and will not be confined to any single period.

He underscored the need for unity among regional resistance groups amid the US-Israeli assaults, noting that this pattern is extending to other nations and players in West Asia.

The senior Iraqi resistance leader stated that the current situation necessitates greater military power and further deterrence among resistance groups in the face of potential threats.

Hamidawi also warned those siding with the enemies that resistance fighters are fully prepared for any scenario and have their fingers on the trigger.

The United States and Israel initiated a large-scale and unprovoked war against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking military commanders.

In response, Iranian Armed Forces launched waves of retaliatory missile and drone operations against US military bases across West Asia and Israeli positions in the occupied territories.

The fighting came to a halt as a two-week ceasefire, mediated by Pakistan, was announced on April 7. Talks are currently underway in Islamabad aimed a permanently ending the war.
