The Leader of the National Wisdom Movement in Iraq, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, has condemned the US-Israeli aggression against Iran as unacceptable and inexcusable.

Emphasizing unity among Islamic nations during Eid al-Fitr sermons on Saturday, Hakim warned against the destabilizing actions of Israel and the US in the region.

He condemned the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli airstrike on February 28.

Hakim also denounced the international community’s indifference towards the US-Israeli aggression against Iran and demanded that they do not allow the aggression turn into a war of attrition.

He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear issue must be resolved through diplomatic means and not through war.

“The destiny of Muslim people and the nation of West Asia is bound together and aggression against any Islamic country is inexcusable,” he said.

He also denounced the US-Israeli aggression against Iraq, especially against Iraqi resistance movement al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units or PMU), calling PMUa vital part of Iraq’s security.

He finally called Iraq’s stability and prosperity a red line and said Baghdad must help resolve issues between regional countries.

The US and Israel started a new round of assaults on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they waged a war of aggression against the country.

Iran immediately began to retaliate by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases and interests in regional countries.
