Europe’s Islamic student union pledges allegiance to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei

The Union of Islamic Student Associations in Europe congratulates the election of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In a statement on Monday, the union offered its felicitations to the noble and resilient nation of Iran, the families of the martyrs, all lovers of the Islamic Revolution, and every Muslim in the world, especially the Shia Muslims.

“Without a doubt, this election has taken place at a time when the Islamic Republic of Iran needs stability, wisdom, courage, national unity, and resistance to conspiracies of the enemies more than ever,” it said.

It added that the Iranian nation has once again proved that the “path of the Islamic Revolution is a living, deeply-rooted path that relies on the faith of the people; a path that does not stop with the departure of individuals and does not stop moving due to pressure from the enemies.”

It noted that Ayatollah Khamenei’s appointment demonstrated that Iran would continue treading the path of honor, independence, resistance, and religious sovereignty.

Iran will overcome difficult obstacles and remain steadfast in the face of divisive projects and hostile interventions by foreigners with the support of a wise people and a prudent leadership, the union emphasized.

It reiterated that all faithful, revolutionary, scientific, cultural, and social forces have a responsibility to maintain unity, deepen insight, and strengthen national empathy, and to take steps towards the elevation of Iran and not allow the enemies to exploit the sensitive conditions of the region and the world to weaken the will of the Iranian nation.

“We, Muslim students in Europe, while declaring our allegiance to the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran and pledging allegiance to him, believe that the future of this nation will not be determined by the threat and pressure of the enemy, but by faith, awareness, tireless efforts, and trust in the divine promise,” the statement read.

The union said the “blessed” election of Ayatollah Khamenei would be the beginning of a new chapter of solidarity, hope, authority, and progress and calls on all students, elites, intellectuals, and all free Iranians to cling to the thread of unity and work together to preserve national honor, the progress of the country, and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

It expressed hope that the great nation of Iran will continue the path of excellence, justice, and authority with greater steadfastness than ever before.

The 88-member Assembly of Experts on Sunday elected Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor to his father and the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei.
