Iran has ‘total intelligence superiority’ in northwest, two officials warn enemies

Iran has achieved “total intelligence superiority” in the northwest, two officials say, warning enemies against any “miscalculation” in the region.

Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, commander of the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), said on Monday during a visit to northwestern Iran that the forces stationed in the operational areas of the region “are prepared to confront any miscalculation by enemies and the leaders and members of terrorist groups.”

He said the forces of the Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Base have gained valuable experience through years of defending Iran’s territory. They, the commander stated, enjoy a combination of faith, modern technology and scientific capabilities to enhance their readiness.

The IRGC commander warned that Iranian forces are prepared to “turn this land into a mass graveyard for malicious elements and mercenaries.”

“The headquarters of terrorist groups in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, was hit,” the IRGC said in a brief statement.

In addition to the Iranian commander, lawmaker Hassan Ghashghavi, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, reiterated Iran’s “full intelligence superiority” amid hostile movements in Iran’s border areas.

“There are movements in Kurdistan, but we have full intelligence superiority,” Ghashghavi told SNN on Monday.

Reports received by the commission, he said, have paved the way for numerous preemptive operations.

The lawmaker added that a ground attack from the Kurdistan region is among the plans of Israel’s Mossad and the CIA.

Citing Wallerstein’s book “Israel’s Divine Mission Against Iran” and a US national security document, the spokesman noted that the texts explicitly call for breaking Iran into smaller entities as a way to weaken the country, pointing to areas such as southeastern and northwestern Iran in this context.

The lawmaker said the people of the region have shown no cooperation with separatist groups, and that national unity and cohesion have contributed to the enemy’s defeat on the ground.

The CIA intends to arm Kurdish militants to trigger a civil war in Iran following its failure in achieving war goals, a report says.

In recent years, Iran has been tough on terrorist groups operating near its border regions, especially those based in Iraqi Kurdistan region.

The Islamic Republic has signed a security pact with the government in Iraq to have elements of PJAK, a notorious terrorist group operating in the border areas, and other groups pushed away from mountainous regions near the border.

Iran has also fired missiles and drones at the hideouts of PJAK terrorists in Kurdistan over the past years.

Reports that emerged in the early days of the US-Israeli war of aggression on Iran in March showed that Washington had equipped and funded Kurdish terrorists for a planned insurgency inside Iranian territory.

However, later reports and statements from US government officials suggested the terrorists had failed to advance inside Iran despite receiving abundant supplies of weapons and funding from the US and Israel.
