Death toll from Israeli strikes on Lebanon rises to 123

Israeli military attacked several south Lebanese villages early on Monday.

The Lebanese Health Ministry has reported that the death toll from recent Israeli strikes on Lebanon has risen to 123, following a new wave of attacks targeting Beirut's southern suburbs.

In a statement released on Friday morning, the ministry detailed that "the toll from the Israeli aggression on Monday has increased to 123 martyrs and 683 wounded."

The escalating Israeli violence against Lebanon has raised concerns among humanitarian organizations and the international community regarding the safety and well-being of civilians in the affected areas.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has prompted widespread calls for de-escalation and a return to diplomatic dialogue to prevent further loss of life and promote stability in the region. As the situation continues to unfold, local and international efforts to address the humanitarian crisis are expected to intensify.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei denounced Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, saying the United Nations Security Council’s inaction on the occupying regime’s crimes will discredit the world body.

In a statement on Monday, Baghaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s savage attacks on southern Lebanon and south Dhahiyah.

He also offered his condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs and the Lebanese government and nation.
