Iranian Khayber missiles pierce Tel Aviv’s defenses in massive joint strike

This screengrab from UGC footage shows cluster sub-warheads of Khaybar missile over the Israeli-occupied territories on March 6, 2026.

IRGC aerospace forces launched the 21st wave of Operation True Promise 4 early Friday morning, utilizing swarms of suicide drones and the advanced Khayber missiles with cluster warheads to saturate and bypass the Zionist regime's multi-layered air defenses.

The sophisticated coordinated assault was codenamed "Ya Mu'izz al-Mu'minin.”

Video footage emerging from the heart of Tel Aviv confirmed that the Khyber missiles employed a sub-munition tactic.

Upon diving toward their targets, the missiles fragmented into dozens of smaller, high-velocity warheads, which rendered the Israeli interceptors, including the much-vaunted Iron Dome and David’s Sling, completely ineffective.

Eyewitness accounts and international media reports, including Haaretz, confirmed widespread destruction of buildings in central Tel Aviv.

AFP reported two near-simultaneous waves of explosions that shook the city, while rocket trails were seen as far north as Netanya.

Earlier, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, detailed the breadth of the offensive.

He said that over 2,000 drones and 600 missiles have been launched in 20 waves of attacks.
