Israeli military forces have killed a Palestinian teenager during a raid on a town in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, Palestinian medical officials say, as the regime’s violence surges in the territory.

The Palestinian health ministry identified the victim as 17-year-old Palestinian, Mohammad Wahbi Hanani, who died on Sunday from injuries sustained during Israeli army gunfire near the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus a day earlier.

The ministry went on to say that Hanani was shot in the head and was in critical condition when he was taken to Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Another minor was also injured in the incident. Ameed Ahmad, director of the Red Crescent Ambulance and Emergency Center in Nablus, said a 16-year-old boy was shot in the foot, and both were transported to Rafidia Hospital for treatment.

Separately on Sunday, three Palestinians — including a child — sustained injuries from settler assaults in multiple locations throughout the occupied territory.

The attacks involved physical violence and stone-throwing at residents and their vehicles, resulting in injuries and damage to property. Medical teams treated the wounded at local facilities.

Increased settler activity was also reported in several villages, where armed settlers attacked homes and agricultural land, in some cases under the presence or protection of Israeli forces.

Local sources noted that such incidents occur frequently and criticized the apparent lack of accountability for these actions.

The surge in violence has also led to displacement in rural areas east of Ramallah. Reported attacks by Israeli settlers have forced 11 Palestinian families to flee their homes.

Residents recounted experiences of intimidation, property destruction, and persistent harassment that created an untenable living situation.

Local sources indicated that settlers repeatedly intruded into the area, threatened residents, and damaged basic structures, including tents.

The affected communities are located in Area C of the West Bank, where Israel retains full civil and security control, and where settlement expansion has increased in recent years.

The latest developments come amid rising tensions across the West Bank in recent months, with frequent military raids, clashes, and growing settler activity contributing to instability in the territory.

Human rights groups and international observers have repeatedly warned that continued violence and displacement risk further destabilizing the already volatile situation on the ground.
