World scholars, thinkers express support for Ayatollah Khamanei
A group of scholars, thinkers, and activists from around the world have declared their support for Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and his courageous, far-reaching efforts to uphold human dignity and justice.
The declaration was made in a statement signed by 46 prominent individuals and organizations from diverse nations and cultures, according to a Tuesday report by Fars News Agency.
The statement described Ayatollah Khamenei as “a leader whose influence transcends religious and political boundaries in contemporary intellectual and ethical developments.”
The signatories, describing themselves as “followers of religions and free people of the world,” said that they praise the Leader not merely for his religious affiliation, but for his “steadfast adherence to ethical principles, courage in decision-making, and civilizational vision for humanity's future.”
They said Ayatollah Khamenei has implemented policies and practices to defend the right of nations, including Iran, to determine their own destiny, despite the costs involved in an era where many world leaders have succumbed to the pressures of dominant powers.
“Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is among the leaders who consistently uphold human dignity, national independence, justice, and resistance against oppression and domination in a world marked by double standards and shifting politics,” the statement read.
The thinkers and scholars, who included Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin and prominent Indian author Tushar Gandhi, said Ayatollah Khamenei’s model of leadership is based on human principles and historical responsibility, which plays a significant role in strengthening the discourse of resistance against injustice and hegemony.
The statement comes amid rising threats of a US war against Iran and its political and military leadership.
Iranian authorities have warned that they would respond decisively to any military action against the country.
Warnings from inside and outside Iran have also indicated that any attempt on the life of Ayatollah Khamenei would trigger a massive reaction across the region and the broader Muslim world.
