Iran says it has boosted its missile power since war with Israel

Iran says its missile power is stronger compared to the 12-day war with the Israeli regime in June.

Iran’s defense ministry spokesman says the country has better and stronger missiles compared to those used during a brief war with the Israeli regime last year.

Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik said on Saturday that Iran has also increased the number of its missiles since the end of the war with Israel in late June.

“The quantitative and qualitative capacities of Iran's missile power have increased compared to the imposed 12-day war, and the country's missile defense capability has been strengthened and become more effective thanks to the experiences gained in the war,” Talaei-Nik was quoted as saying by the Tasnim news agency.

The general added, however, that Iran has developed sophisticated missile capabilities to respond to emerging threats, while insisting that the country would keep such advances confidential in order to surprise the enemy at the proper time.

He dismissed recent threats of military attacks against Iran, saying that the enemy’s hesitant rhetoric toward Iran proves it fears Iran’s defense capacity and missile power.

Iranian missiles used in the war with Israel inflicted considerable damage on the regime, striking many military and economic targets across the occupied territories with a high degree of precision.

Military experts believe the growing impact of Iranian missiles fired against Israeli targets was a major factor in the United States’ decision to force the regime to accept a ceasefire on June 24.

Iranian officials and military commanders have warned that the country will use its substantial missile power against US-linked targets in the region if Washington decides to attack Iran.
