Belqeys city is the name of one of Iran's most mysterious historical sites. Today, little has remained of the city, which was once known for its splendor and the treasures hidden under its surface and the thick adobe walls of its buildings.
The city's fortress, which is partially restored, has many stories to tell, from the attack of Arab and Mongol conquerors to the revival of Belqeys after each invasion.
