Israel Gaza truce violations
Israel’s violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza claim more Palestinian lives, as the regime’s forces continue to target civilians across the besieged territory. According to Gaza’s medical sources, the territory’s hospitals received nearly 20 bodies within 24 hours, including four civilians, who were killed in fresh Israeli strikes. Israeli forces targeted a vehicle in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least one civilian and injuring several others. Also, a nine-year-old girl was killed and several others were injured after a building collapsed on its residents in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. The regime’s forces also abducted three Palestinian fishermen after destroying their equipment off the coast of Gaza City. For the fourth night in a row, Israeli forces continued to detonate residential buildings in eastern Gaza. The Israeli genocide in Gaza has so far killed over 68,500 civilians, leaving more than 170,300 others injured.
Gaza genocide aftermath
An international aid organization has warned that unexploded war remnants in Gaza can continue to endanger civilians for up to 20 or 30 years. The comment was made by an explosives clearance specialist working with the aid organization Humanity and Inclusion. Nick Orr described Gaza as “a terrifying minefield without a defined map.” He added that his team of seven will begin surveying key infrastructure sites, including hospitals and bakeries, next week to identify areas contaminated with unexploded ordnance. The expert warned that a complete clearance of war remnants from Gaza may never be possible and such explosives will be found for generations to come. His remarks came after an international NGO specializing in mine clearance warned that unexploded Israeli munitions continue to pose a deadly and persistent threat to Palestinians in Gaza. Handicap International added that about 70,000 tons of explosives have been dropped on Gaza since the start of the Israeli genocide in October 2023.
Malaysia anti-Trump rally
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters have held a rally in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to protest a visit by US President Donald Trump for the ASEAN summit that opened Sunday. During the rally dubbed “Trump Not Welcome in Malaysia”, the protesters held banners in support of Palestine and in condemnation of the US-backed genocide in Gaza. They also chanted “Stop US Imperialism, Trump Bloody Killer and Free Palestine. The demonstrators also called for an end to what they called the American-backed oppression in the West Asia region. Trump is among nearly two dozen world leaders expected at the summit of Southeast Asian economies. His presence has drawn criticism as he seeks economic talks amid steep tariffs on Southeast Asian economies.
