Yemen marks Prophet’s birth anniversary with political overtones

Yemenis have turned out in massive numbers to celebrate Prophet Mohammad’s birth anniversary, the country’s most important religious event.

The commemoration in Sana’a and across other cities combined spiritual devotion with cultural traditions, while this year also carried strong political messages of solidarity with Palestine and condemnation of Israeli aggression.
