IRGC reprisal operations
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it has targeted two drone hangers and a fuel storage facility at the Ali al Salem airbase in Kuwait in its latest retaliatory strikes. In a new statement, the IRGC said the attack on the US base in Kuwait this morning set ablaze and destroyed the two drone hangars and fuel storage facility for military aircraft and helicopters. The IRGC warned Kuwait that US aggressors will continue to be punished until they are expelled from the region. The IRGC had already launched a ballistic missile strike on Jordan's Al-Azraq Air Base destroying three US F-35 fighter jets and heavily damaging three others. The attack killed several US officers and technical personnel. The IRGC said the operation was carried out in retaliation for the US airstrike on residential homes on Qeshm Island this morning.
Tehran warns Sofia
Foreign minister Araghchi says a Bulgarian parliamentary decision allowing the United States to use Bulgarian bases for aggressive operations against Iran violates the principles of the UN Charter. The top Iranian diplomat urged Sofia to immediately reconsider the move. In a phone call with his Bulgarian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi cited UN Resolution 3314, stressing that offering a state’s territory to another country for the purpose of committing aggression against a third state constitutes an act of aggression. Araghchi warned that Iran will defend its national interests and any party involved in hostile actions must accept the consequences. Bulgaria’s foreign minister, recalling the history of positive relations between the two countries, said her country does not intend to join any war against Iran, stressing support for diplomacy and regional de-escalation. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps had earlier warned countries assisting US aggression against Iran of a severe response. The IRGC has announced that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as the US continues its threats and interventions in shipping in the region.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel has launched new attacks on the Gaza Strip in violation of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas movement. In the latest attack, tents of displaced Palestinians in Gaza City were targeted, leaving one person dead and nearly a dozen others wounded. A drone strike killed one civilian as well. Regime’s artillery fire also hit Bureij refugee camp. Gaza’s Health ministry says at least four people have been killed since dawn on Thursday. This brings to over 73,300 the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 2023.
