'Reporting truth not to stop'

Israel has killed yet another journalist in Gaza, continuing its systematic campaign of silencing the voices of truth. Press TV and Al-Alam TV cameraman Rasmi Jihad Salem was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City. A day earlier another journalist Eman al-Zamli had been shot dead by Israeli drone fire in Khan Yunis. Gaza’s Government Media Office has condemned the killings as part of Israel’s genocidal war and a deliberate attempt to eliminate Palestinian media. It's urged international press unions and human rights groups to take action to protect journalists and hold Israel accountable. The regime has killed 249 journalists in Gaza since the beginning of its genocidal war in October 2023.

Gaza genocide rages on

Israeli forces continue to massacre Palestinians in Gaza, killing more than one-hundred innocent civilians in a matter of 24 hours. One of the regime’s latest strikes killed 9 civilians, including seven children, and injured several others in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. Earlier, nearly a dozen Palestinians from the same family lost their lives when their home was struck in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. Another strike killed four civilians after a displaced persons' tent was hit west of the al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. According to local sources, more than 50 Palestinians waiting for food aid were killed by Israeli forces on Tuesday. This increases the total number of aid seekers killed by the regime to more than 2,300. 13 Palestinians, including three children, also died from malnutrition, increasing the toll from Israel’s starvation policy to 361, including 130 children. The death toll from the regime’s genocide has surpassed 63,630, with more than 160,900 others injured.

Israeli crimes in Gaza

Hamas has strongly condemned Israel’s systematic killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza City, urging the UN Security Council to immediately halt the ongoing genocide and hold those responsible accountable. Hamas said Israel’s criminal prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is waging an open war on civilians in Gaza City, as part of the regime’s campaign of genocide and forced displacement. It said, in addition to airstrikes, the regime uses robots carrying tons of explosives to detonate residential areas, in an unprecedented violation of international laws. The movement stressed that such actions amount to war crimes under international law and international humanitarian law. Hamas also condemned the US for blocking international justice mechanisms from addressing Israel’s crimes, calling Washington a direct partner in the regime’s genocide. It urged the international community to take effective action to stop Israel's crimes in Gaza, and counter the threat that the regime poses to security and peace in the entire region.
