Hundreds of protesters rallied in Seoul on Saturday to call for the impeachment of current Korean President Lee Jae Myung and the release of his jailed predecessor Yoon Suk Yeol.
Footage shows protesters waving Republic of Korea (ROK) and chanting slogans such as 'Let's beat up the communists' and 'God save us' at Gwanghwamun Square.
Some can be seen holding signs reading: 'The people will judge Lee Jae Myung, the dictator' and 'Stop the steal. Stand with Yoon.'
"We want a country where we can live freely under the principles of liberal democracy, without losing our freedom to communist dictatorship," one of the protesters stated.
"We are here to seek liberation from Lee Jae Myung's dictatorship and corruption," she continued.
Lee of the Democratic Party of Korea won South Korea's 21st presidential election held after the impeachment of Yoon. In his inauguration speech he declared intention to build relations with China and reopen dialogue with the DPRK, while maintaining a strong security alliance with the US.
