Iran reveals Israeli pilots info

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has revealed the identities of two Israeli pilots involved in deadly airstrikes against the country during the recent US-Israeli war of aggression. The revelation comes despite the tight censorship that Israel imposes on its military affairs.

Starvation in Gaza

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees has blamed the so-called US-Israeli Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, or GHF, for the deepening famine in the besieged territory. In a social media post, Philippe Lazzarini described the existing famine in Gaza as man-made. He said the rising level of hunger is the direct result of replacing the UN-coordinated humanitarian system with the politically motivated GHF. He noted that the US-Israeli aid system is so far responsible for the killing of nearly 1,400 starving people in Gaza. Lazzarini said since UNRWA was sidelined by Israel five months ago, famine has been deepening in Gaza. He added that weakening UNRWA was a deliberate measure to collectively pressure and punish Palestinians for living in Gaza. Warning that no time should be wasted anymore, Lazzarini called for the unconditional opening of Gaza’s crossings to allow in aid.

Rejecting resistance disarmament

Hamas has categorically rejected Israeli media reports quoting US special envoy, Steve Witkoff’s claim that the movement is willing to lay down its arms. In an official statement, Hamas said the resistance and its arms represent a national and legal right, which has been recognized by international charters and conventions, as long as the occupation remains in place. The movement stressed that it will never relinquish this right until all national rights of Palestinians are restored, especially the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign state with al-Quds as its capital. Hamas had earlier slammed Witkoff’s visit to a US-Israeli-backed aid site in Gaza as a “staged show.” The movement said the visit was aimed at misleading the public about the situation in the territory, where an Israeli blockade has spurred a starvation crisis, and fueled global condemnation.
