Indirect Iran-US talks
Iran’s foreign minister has once again highlighted uranium enrichment as the country's redline in the upcoming nuclear talks with the United States. Abbas Araghchi said there will be no deal if the US insists on zero enrichment in Iran. The minister said Iran has never sought to build a nuclear weapon, although it possesses the technical capability to do that. He reiterated that nuclear weapons have no place in Iran's defense doctrine. Referring to Israel's threats to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, Araghchi said Iran is ready to defend itself and its response will be rapid and strong. He added that Iran considers the US responsible for any possible Israeli attack, whether American forces are involved or not, because Israel will never dare to attack Iran without coordination with the US. He also touched on threats posed by the European parties to the 2015 nuclear deal to activate its snapback mechanism and restore UN sanctions against Iran. He said Europeans could restore those sanctions, but in that case they would lose contact with Iran, and cause a crisis in the global non-proliferation system.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Israeli forces massacre more Palestinian women and children in Gaza, as the regime’s air and artillery strikes continue to pound the blockaded territory. In one of the latest attacks, four civilians, including two girls and a woman, were killed after the bombing of a residential apartment in Gaza City. Earlier, half a dozen Palestinians lost their lives and more than 50 others went missing after a four-story home was hit in the Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza. Four more citizens were killed, and several others injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a home in the al-Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza. Fatalities were reported after the Israeli bombing of a tent housing displaced persons in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. Several Palestinians were also killed and injured in an Israeli strike in the city of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. The Israeli genocide has killed over 53,700 Palestinians so far, leaving nearly 122,200 others wounded. The death toll includes more than 3,600 civilians killed since the resumption of the regime’s aggression in March.
Israel starvation policy
Hamas has once again slammed Israel for using a “systematic starvation” policy in Gaza, urging the international community to stop the regime’s criminal moves. Hamas said Israel is tightly rationing the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, linking it to political and security conditions. The group said the regime is imposing new realities on the ground through what it described as a 'ghetto aid' strategy to disguise its crimes as a humanitarian effort. Hamas noted that the aid allowed in after more than eighty days of complete blockade amounts to only a fraction of Gaza’s basic needs. The group also warned that Israel is trying to establish what resembles concentration camps in the southern areas of Gaza under the guise of aid. Hamas rejected Israel’s plan as a colonial scheme that is destined to fail. It called on the international community to pressure the regime to completely lift the siege of Gaza, and establish a free and permanent humanitarian corridor to ensure unimpeded flow of aid.
