Israel-Hamas prisoner swap

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has released the second group of 13 Israeli captives and 4 foreign nationals on the second day of a four-day truce. Israel also released 39 Palestinian prisoners, including 33 youths and six women. Earlier on Saturday, Hamas said it had delayed the exchange due to Tel Aviv’s refusal to adhere to the truce deal. A group of 50 Israeli captives are to be released in return for 150 Palestinian prisoners as part of the agreement. The first groups of detainees were released by both sides on Friday. Under the deal, more aid will be allowed into Gaza. The truce follows 48 days of relentless Israeli airstrikes that killed nearly 15,000 Palestinian civilians and displaced around 1.7 million.

Israeli atrocities

An appalling video of an Israeli soldier exploding a Palestinian home as a gift to his daughter has gone viral on the social media provoking outrage. The video was set during the recent Israeli brutal war on Gaza. The conflict has seen genocidal rhetoric by Israeli leaders and has been the scene of extreme brutality by the Israeli army, leaving nearly 15,000 Palestinians in Gaza dead, mostly women and children.

Deadly West Bank raids

Tensions are running high in the West Bank as Israeli regime carries out fresh raids on several towns and villages across the occupied territories. At least four Palestinians were killed and six others injured when the regime's forces stormed the city of Jenin. Israeli troops fired indiscriminately at the residents and encircled the city’s hospital. The regime's forces also raided Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus, and Aqbat Jabr refugee camp, south of Ariha. In response, Palestinian resistance fighters managed to shoot down an Israeli drone flying over Qabatiya near Jenin. Since the onset of the Gaza war, Israeli forces have killed more than 200 Palestinians and detained hundreds more in the West Bank.
