Republican US House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has called for "a national divorce," between Red and Blue states

Greene called for the secession of Republican and Democratic states, saying red states and blue states need to be separated and each has its own government in America.

“We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government,” Greene said on Twitter on Monday. “From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”

It was not the first time that Greene suggested the idea of a “national divorce.” In late 2021, Greene said voters who brought “ruin” to California shouldn’t be allowed to do the same to a state like Florida.

“All possible in a National Divorce scenario,” Greene wrote on Twitter in December 2021. “After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period.”

Greene’s renewed her call for the division the US into two separate right and left countries after she spent the morning criticizing US President Joe Biden and calling for his impeachment over his war-mongering aspirations in Ukraine, claiming that the president was foolish for visiting the comedy actor-turned-president, and instead should have spent that time on tending to the many woes and issues Americans were facing these days before it was too late for the world.

“Biden didn’t go to East Palestine, Ohio on President’s Day,” Greene said on Twitter. “He went to Ukraine, a NON-NATO nation, whose leader is an actor and is apparently now commanding our United States military to world war. We must impeach this America Last fool before it’s too late.”

Former Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) responded to Greene’s call for a “national divorce” on Monday, suggesting that it was “unconstitutional.”

“Our country is governed by the Constitution. You swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Secession is unconstitutional. No member of Congress should advocate secession, Marjorie,” Cheney tweeted in response to Greene’s comments.

Republican lawmakers had vowed to slash US military aid to Ukraine after winning control of Congress in November.

In the meantime, Biden made his surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital Kiev around the same time as the first anniversary of the Russian launching of its special military operation in the country.

During the visit to Kiev, Biden once more reiterated Washington's all-out support for Kiev.

He promised to increase arms deliveries to the country, further fanning the flames of war in the Russian-speaking regions of eastern Ukraine.

Russian forces have vowed to eliminate the pro-Nazi forces of the region that aim to subjugate the rest.
