Afghans condemn Shiraz terror attack, express sympathy with Iranians

Wednesday’s terror attack on Shah Cheragh holy shrine in Iran’s city of Shiraz has saddened Iranians as well as many people around the globe.
Among them, Afghans, who have been bearing the brunt of blind terror attacks for years, say the act of terror opened their old wounds. They say the tragedy touched their heart and they share the grief of Iranian people.
Afghan experts and activists underscore the need for global unity, especially among Muslims, against acts of terror. They believe the enemies of Islam and Muslims try to destabilize the region by sowing discord among its inhabitants.
At least 13 people, including two children, were killed after a gunman opened fire on people at the holy shrine in Shiraz. Dozens were also wounded. The Daesh Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for the heinous crime.
Many Afghans consider Iran as their second home.
Today, people here express sympathy for Iranians, saying they stand with the neighboring nation of Iran.
