Iran’s Sa'di Foundation is planning to use scientific methods and the cyberspace to promote education of the Persian language across the world.

Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, who heads the foundation, announced the plan while addressing a ceremony held to unveil “The First Step,” an interactive multimedia software, in Tehran on Sunday.

He said the foundation has used two strategies to achieve its goal which is the promotion of the Persian language to non-Persian language speakers.

These strategies, he explained, included the teaching of Persian language to non-Persian language speakers by using scientific methods and utilizing cyberspace capabilities to teach the language in the globe.

He noted that the foundation has complied tens of books in fields ranging from vacabulary and writing to reading and linguistics at different levels and for various countries, and work still continues in this regard.

Haddad Adel added that the body has also tried to boost its software capabilities to facilitate access of the Persian language for those who are interested overseas.

He said "The First Step” is both in Persian and English languages but it can be developed for compatibility with other languages in the future.

Following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the use of cyberspace has highly increased in the world, he said and noted that the Sa'di Foundation has also succeeded in making use of the positive atmosphere as it is now unveiling this interactive software.

The Tehran-based organization launched a virtual teacher training course in May which is aimed at promoting the Persian language, supporting the Persian language centers across the world, enhancing the quality of Persian language teaching and facilitating access of teachers and enthusiasts to such courses.
