'Iran prepared for all-out war'
A senior security official has told Press TV that Iran is prepared for an all-out, multi-layered and comprehensive war against its adversaries. The informed security source said Iran has made a definitive decision to respond to any act of aggression, including killings and assassinations, without limits or restraint. The official also noted that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to 'smash with full force, the interests and targets within reach of the aggressors and their supporters in the region'. He emphasized the intertwined nature of the American and Israeli war machinery. The official said that from Iran’s perspective, the US will not launch an attack without Israel, nor will Israel act without the US support. The security source underlined that the explicit threats of American officials and the Israeli regime to attack Iran have provided the legal and moral license for Iran to take necessary defensive measures. The comments come amid rhetoric and warmongerings by US officials and the Tel Aviv regime.
Iran diplomatic stance
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran has never sought war and has no intention of initiating one, but will never yield to force or bullying. Pezeshkian said the US never expected Iran to withstand its military attacks and sanctions but Iran stood firm and will continue to do so. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran remains committed to a dignified and peaceful resolution but is fully prepared to defend itself. Araghchi said Tehran is ready to give diplomacy another chance if Washington provides strong evidence that it sincerely seeks a just and honorable solution to end the conflict permanently. He also said eight months of US-Israeli war on Iran have failed to achieve any of the adversaries’ objectives. Araghchi also warned that further escalation around the Strait of Hormuz or elsewhere in the region would endanger civilian lives and put the global economy at serious risk.
France strike call
Talks between French unions and Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu over the latest wave of protests have failed, with union leaders accusing the government of ignoring workers’ demands. Meanwhile, Marylise Léon, secretary-general of the French Democratic Confederation of Labour, stressed that social measures are essential. French President Emmanuel Macron called for a firm response as curfews remained in place. The protests began in late September over overcrowded classrooms and teacher shortages. Demonstrations were met with tear gas and stun grenades, leaving hundreds of teenagers seriously injured and thousands detained. The protests later merged with broader public anger over the rising cost of living.
