'Iran readiness for all-out war'

A senior security official has told Press TV that Iran is prepared for an all-out, multi-layered and comprehensive war against its adversaries. The informed security source said Iran has made a definitive decision to respond to any act of aggression, including killings and assassinations, without limits or restraint. The official also noted that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to 'smash with full force', the interests and targets within reach of the aggressors and their supporters in the region. He emphasized the intertwined nature of the American and Israeli war machinery. The official said that from Iran’s perspective, the US will not launch an attack without Israel, nor will Israel act without the US support. The security source underlined that the explicit threats of American officials and the Israeli regime to attack Iran have provided the legal and moral license for Iran to take necessary defensive measures. The comments come amid rhetoric and warmongerings by US officials and the Tel Aviv regime.

Gaza humanitarian catastrophe

Gaza’s Health Ministry warns of an imminent power collapse across the war-torn territory as Israel’s genocidal war continues. The ministry says fuel supplies, needed to run hospital generators, have completely run out. It warned that the remaining generators could soon break down, adding that they are already operating under difficult technical conditions. The ministry also said that a total power shutdown would disrupt electricity to critical departments that provide life-saving care. The ministry called on the international community to meet its humanitarian responsibilities and intervene immediately to ensure the delivery of fuel and spare parts. The warning comes as a senior official of the International Committee of the Red Cross has said that the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues amid deteriorating health conditions. The director general of the ICRC described the conditions facing Palestinians as “hell on earth.”

UK inflation

Inflation in the UK has climbed to three-point-five percent, exceeding forecasts as the war against Iran drives up energy prices and increases pressure on households. The inflation, which rose in the 12 months to September, is based on the consumer price index. According to the Office for National Statistics, petrol prices have surged above one pound and seventy pence a liter, while diesel has hit a record high of more than two pounds per liter. There are concerns in the country that inflation will exceed four-percent next year. Meanwhile, in global markets, oil and gas prices have soared amid disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, with Brent crude trading above 100 dollars a barrel.
