Activist Sara Flounders of the International Action Center describes the US-Israeli war against Iran as a criminal act driven by imperial ambitions and military-industrial interests.
In an interview with Press TV on Monday, she argued that Washington and Tel Aviv have underestimated Iran’s defensive capabilities and that their repeated claims of victory reflect frustration over their failure to achieve their objectives.
She maintained that Iran’s scientific and technological capabilities, military preparedness, and asymmetric warfare strategy have thwarted US and Israeli efforts to defeat the country. She dismisses President Donald Trump’s threats to “finish the job” as hollow rhetoric, arguing that Iran has emerged stronger from previous confrontations.
Flounders also points to growing opposition to the war among the American public, attributing it to a broader recognition of the conflict’s destructive and unjustified nature.
Rejecting the notion that Israel alone dictates US policy, the commentator contends that Washington is pursuing its own regional dominance, seeking to preserve its military influence and arms sales across West Asia.
She further argues that Iran’s resistance, alongside that of other regional countries, has challenged this hegemonic agenda, stressing that the international community must defend Iran’s sovereignty and the right of nations to determine their own futures.
