Iran warning
Iran’s security chief Mohsen Rezaei has warned the US and Israel against any new adventurism. Rezaei said the Iranian armed forces have prepared a plan in the face of such adventurism, which would be more destructive than the ones in the 12-day and 40-day wars. He added that delirious ramblings and threats by US, Israeli officials won’t change realities of the military confrontation. Earlier, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps slammed US President Donald Trump's latest rhetoric against Iran, including his threat to use the so-called “mother of all bombs” against Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites. IRGC spokesman, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, said that only a savage civilization could use the sacred word "mother" for its heaviest bomb.
US 'No Kings' protests
The US is witnessing a new round of “No Kings” protests ahead of the midterm elections. Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of Houston in the state of Texas, expressing their opposition to President Donald Trump and his policies. Some of the protesters were carrying banners reading "Resist All Corruption”. The demonstrators condemned authoritarian and billionaire-first policies, calling for genuine democracy. They also demanded early voting, ahead of the US midterm elections. The protesters believed that voting early means their voice is locked in and safe. Similar protests were also staged in other US cities. In Portland, Senator Elizabeth Warren joined a “No Kings” rally. Warren made the remark as she joined a rally in support of Troy Jackson, the Democratic nominee for a US Senate election in the state of Maine. She also criticized Maine’s Senator, Susan Collins, for supporting President Trump. No Kings rallies were also held in the US capital, Washington.
