Thousands of people participated in a massive march in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday in solidarity with the Palestinian people, as part of the events of the "World Day of Action for Palestine," in a movement demanding an end to the war on the Gaza Strip and the cessation of Israeli military operations.
The march set off from Beyazit Square toward the Hagia Sophia Mosque, where participants raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans in support of Palestine and denouncing Israeli military operations. Some also carried child dolls stained with red color, symbolizing the fall of civilian victims, while others beat drums in the vicinity of the mosque.
The protesters demanded a ceasefire and an end to the bloodshed, raising slogans condemning the continuation of the war and the genocide against the Palestinians.
