Global pro-Palestine rallies
Massive Pro-Palestine rallies are being held across the globe as part of a Global Day of Action for Palestine. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of the British capital, London, holding Palestinian flags and chanting slogans. The demonstrators are demanding the UK government stop supporting Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and halt arms exports to Tel Aviv. Similar protests have also been held in the French capital Paris as well as several other European cities including Brussels, Oslo, and Berlin. Marches are being held across Italy, including the cities of Rome, Milan, Naples, Bologna, and Turin, with people calling for an immediate end to the genocide and unblocking of aid to the strip. Yemen’s capital Sana’a also witnessed a rally in support of Palestine. More than 200 organizations across 60 countries have coordinated similar protests.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Nearly a dozen Palestinians are killed in the latest Israeli attacks across Gaza. An Israeli airstrike directly hit a group of civilians in western Gaza City, claiming the lives of five people. A separate attack in the same area killed an eight-year-old girl. Two Palestinians were also killed in attacks in central parts of the besieged territory. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the death toll from the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza since October 2023 has now risen to more than 74,300, with 175,300 others injured.
Netanyahu survival plots
The Iranian foreign minister has warned that the Israeli prime minister seeks to push the US into a fresh round of military aggression against Iran and sacrifice more American blood and money to save himself. In a social media post, Abbas Araghchi said Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal with Arab, American and Iranian blood on his hands. The top Iranian diplomat likened the Israeli prime minister to a ‘degenerate gambler.’ Araghchi also pointed out that even US senators want an end to the war with Iran. Araghchi’s social media post was accompanied by an interview with Major General Avi Gil, Netanyahu's senior military aide during Operation al-Aqsa Flood on October 7 of 2023. Gil said Netanyahu was warned of the potential for war ahead of the operation. He added that records from the operation were altered and that Netanyahu abandoned possible opportunities to secure the captives' return because an agreement threatened his coalition.
