The deputy commander of Iran’s Army says the country’s Armed Forces have stood more firmly and powerfully against their enemies than in the past and are now “more prepared than ever.”

Speaking on Thursday, Brigadier General Mohammad-Hossein Dadras said Iran is confronting an enemy that considers itself the ruler of the world and kills innocent children in pursuit of its “evil” objectives.

He said the consequences of such “devilish thinking” could be seen in the killing of thousands of innocent children in the besieged Gaza Strip as well as the “crime” at a school in Minab in Iran's southern province of Hormozgan.

“Today, we are facing an enemy that considers itself the ruler of the world and, in pursuit of its sinister objectives, sacrifices innocent and defenseless children to its demonic values. The result of these satanic ideas has been the massacre of thousands of innocent children in Gaza, as well as the crime at the Minab school,” General Dadras noted.

On February 28, a US missile strike hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh School, an elementary school in Minab, a city in Hormozgan Province, on the first day of the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, killing 168 people, including 120 students and 26 teachers. More than 110 others were wounded.

Referring to the enemy’s recent imposed wars against Iran, General Dadras said the enemy attacked the Islamic Republic believing it could achieve its objectives in less than a week, while also assassinating the Leader and military commanders.

“The enemy attacked the Islamic Republic of Iran with the assumption that it would achieve its objectives in less than a week, and assassinated the Leader and the commanders of the armed forces. But the Iranian nation and the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stood against the enemy, stronger and more powerful than ever, and today they are more prepared than any time before,” he emphasized.

The Army deputy commander added that the world is witnessing the presence and steadfastness of the Iranian people and said their strength and pride were a blessing bestowed by God in recognition of their resistance and perseverance.

“Today, the world is witnessing the presence and steadfastness of the Iranian people on the scene. This power and pride is a blessing that Almighty God has bestowed upon them through the Iranian nation’s resistance and steadfastness,” General Dadras added.

Addressing the possession of modern and advanced defense equipment by some regional countries, General Dadras stressed that sophisticated weaponry alone does not bring strength or dignity.

“Possessing advanced equipment alone does not bring power and dignity. At times, we see the leaders of the hegemonic powers referring to some regional countries as ‘milch cows’ and emphasizing that these countries would not be capable of defending themselves even for a week without their presence,” he went on to say.

The deputy commander of Iran’s Army also described solidarity and unity among Muslim countries as a key factor in defeating and thwarting the conspiracies of Iran’s enemies in the region.

General Dadras said anyone who resists oppression and oppressors will certainly receive divine help and support and “God will bestow dignity upon them.”
