Conditions for war to end
The spokesman of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says the US President should learn from the lessons of the war against Iran and accept Tehran’s conditions. Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi said Donald Trump has been mired in the conflict for around 16 months and has achieved none of his declared objectives. Mohebbi added that the US President is entangled with different economic and political problems caused by the war. The IRGC spokesman also pointed to Trump’s retreat from Yemen, saying the US President realized that he cannot defeat Yemenis and therefore asked for an agreement with the Arab country. Mohebbi made the remarks as the Islamic Republic has time and again said that in order for the war to end, its conditions should be met. They include an end to wars in all fronts, lifting of the naval blockade against Iran and the release of frozen Iranian assets.
Israel Gaza genocide
At least five Palestinians have been killed after an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in the Gaza Strip. A number of others were also injured in the overnight attack that took place in Gaza City. Witnesses say the building and the surrounding areas were hit three times while people were asleep. The Palestinian Civil Defense says women and children were among the fatalities as their crews continue to search through the rubble for the missing ones. The death toll from the genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023 stands at over 74,000.
Sana'a Riyadh tensions
The Yemeni armed forces have reportedly carried out an attack on Saudi Arabia’s Aramco oil facility in Riyadh. Footage shows plumes of smoke rising from the facility. There is still no comment from Yemen regarding the attack. Meanwhile, the Saudi military has carried out strikes on residential areas in Yemen’s Sa’dah province. Earlier, Saudi-backed forces in Yemen said they launched over 70 attacks on Ansarullah’s targets in Taiz. Tensions remain high between Sana’a and Riyadh. In recent weeks, the Yemeni military has announced successful naval operations targeting ships linked to Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea, impacting Riyadh's energy exports. The conflict traces back to March 2015, when Saudi Arabia and a US-backed coalition launched a sweeping military campaign and blockade aimed at reinstalling a favorable regime in Sana'a.
