Nasrallah martyrdom anniversary
Massive crowds have gathered across several Lebanese cities to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah. Supporters poured into the southern suburbs and other cities, carrying resistance flags and portraits of their martyred leader. The commemorations took place across multiple areas in Lebanon. They condemned the Israeli regime and the US for assassinating the Hezbollah chief and called for revenge. They also voiced support for the Lebanese resistance group and vowed to continue Nasrallah's path.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has also paid tribute to martyr Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying the resistance remains steadfast and committed to the cause of Palestine and the liberation of occupied lands. In a televised address, Sheikh Naim Qassem paid tribute to the martyrs of the resistance and praised the steadfast people of Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, and Yemen. Sheikh Qassem stated that the resistance successfully halted Israel’s expansionist project in Lebanon, proving that 90,000 Israeli troops were unable to achieve their objectives. He criticized the Lebanese government's negotiations with the United States and Israel, warning that surrendering to Israeli demands would destroy Lebanon. The Hezbollah chief reaffirmed that resistance weapons remain non-negotiable and that Hezbollah will continue its fight against US and Israeli hegemony.
Israel annexation threats
Israel's far-right finance minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for the annexation of parts of south Lebanon and Gaza, and for war against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Smotrich said Israel should annex at least as far as the so-called Yellow Line in Gaza and the Litani River in Lebanon. He also urged going to war against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The IOF has been violating ceasefires reached with both Gaza and Lebanon. Moreover, violence has already surged in the West Bank since the Gaza genocide began, with at least 1,110 Palestinians killed by IOF or settlers.
'Strait of Hormuz closed'
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Navy says it has captured the second US unmanned underwater drone in the Hormuz Strait. The IRGC Navy said the drone was operating in the Strait of Hormuz for espionage purposes. It added that the operation was carried out through a coordinated and complex effort involving intelligence superiority and electronic warfare. The vehicle was a Remus 600, an advanced, intelligent unmanned underwater drone. It is now in the possession of Iranian specialists, who are working to retrieve its data. The IRGC also said that the Strait of Hormuz is closed and that it is continuing to respond decisively and relentlessly to dangerous activities and transit through unauthorized routes in the strait.
