Nasrallah martyrdom anniversary
Today marks the second martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah chief, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli strike on Beirut. For more than three decades, Nasrallah led the resistance movement and guided the Lebanese people through difficult times in confronting US-Israeli belligerence. His life and sacrifice left lasting lessons for those who resist oppression.
Iran military power
The senior spokesman of Iran's armed forces says Americans will never be allowed to play any role in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi added that Americans have no choice but to leave West Asia, and the sooner they leave, they will suffer less damage. Shekarchi said the region will be certainly safer following a US withdrawal. He said the US will never reclaim its past position in the new world order as the Islamic Republic will not allow it. The general stressed that the Strait of Hormuz is fully controlled by Iran, warning ships would risk their safety if they transit routes other than those authorized by Iran. Shekarchi also warned that more crushing blows await the US, if it renews its acts of aggression. The general said Iran has already used the experience of the war to optimize its weapons and is well-equipped to surprise the enemies with newly-developed technologies.
Russia-Ukraine war
The Russian military has launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s southwestern Odesa region, killing at least one person and injuring two others. Ukraine’s state emergency service said the airstrike damaged two private homes, a production workshop and warehouse facilities, causing a large fire in the area. The emergency service said most workers took shelter during the air raid, helping prevent a larger toll. The attack comes days after Ukraine launched hundreds of drones at the Russian capital Moscow. Russian officials said most of the drones were downed. Several, however, did hit Moscow oil refinery and a residential building, killing three and injuring nearly 20 others. Both Russia and Ukraine have escalated long-range strikes against each other in recent months.
