Iran's warning to US, regional allies

The Iranian armed forces’ Khatam al-Anbia Central Command has warned the United States and regional countries that any miscalculation could make them immediate targets, following reports that Washington may resume hostilities against the Islamic Republic after receiving a green light from regional states.

The top military body said any such move by the US would expose its interests and military bases across the region to intense, successive attacks.

The warning comes after Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, addressed recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who told Axios that he is at “a quite critical juncture” and may launch massive attacks to bring the war to an end.

Rezaei said the US had made one miscalculation after another, but Iran had weathered them all and was now even better prepared to respond to any further miscalculation or aggression.

A series of statements pointing to the possibility of renewed escalation between Iran, the United States, and the Israeli regime is the focus of this Spotlight program.
