Iran's top security official says if the United States really intends to get out of the dire situation it has created in the West Asia region, it has no other way but to accept Iran's conditions. Major General Mohsen Rezaei said in a social media post that Iran has announced seven conditions to the US government for the start of any negotiations. He added that Tehran's message is clear and unambiguous. If Washington wants to get out of the predicament it has created, it has no choice but to accept Iran's rights and conditions. Earlier, Rezaei said in an exclusive interview that Iran has sent its seven conditions for ending the war to the US via Qatar and is awaiting a response from Washington. He said the conditions include stopping wars on all fronts, the release of Iran's frozen assets, and termination of the US naval blockade on Iran. He warned that in case of a new war, Iran would strike US bases and interests in the region with greater force. Rezaei added that Iran is aware of the US military’s vulnerabilities and is more prepared than ever to counter it. He asserted that US President Donald Trump’s threats will yield no results and Iran is prepared for a decisive war.

Yemen warns Saudi Arabia

Yemen’s government spokesman has warned Saudi Arabia that any escalation against the Yemeni people and territory will be met with a stronger and more forceful response. Omar Al-Bukhaiti said Yemen’s armed forces will not hesitate to deliver the harshest blows to the Saudi enemy to deter its criminal aggression and escalation against the country. He added that the Saudi regime’s recourse to Daesh-style tactics, including criminal bombings targeting civilians in Sana’a, reflects its brutal nature. Bukhaiti emphasized that continued escalation of the Saudi regime’s crimes against the Yemeni people will only increase the price it will have to pay. He also rejected Riyadh’s allegations about Yemen’s attack on the holy city of Mecca, calling it the lie of the century. His warning came after Yemen’s army spokesman announced two new operations on Saudi targets with ballistic and cruise missiles, and drones. Yahya Saree said the operations hit sensitive sites in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and Aramco facilities in Yanbu.

White House media ban

US President Donald Trump's move to ban several media outlets from the White House has drawn serious backlash from media outlets and a journalists' rights group. Trump claimed that CNN, MS NOW and Politico report fake news. The White House Correspondents' Association, which represents hundreds of journalists who cover the White House, called the ban a violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution. The association called for immediate restoration of access to the White House for banned media outlets, saying the First Amendment enshrines freedom of the press. It said US courts have repeatedly held that once the White House provides access to journalists, it cannot deny that access arbitrarily or based on the content of their reporting. The banned outlets have also lashed out at Trump's ban, highlighting their constitutional right to report without government interference. The New York Times and The Washington Post also condemned Trump's move as “another retaliatory and unconstitutional threat,” saying their access to the White House is a "non-negotiable constitutional right.”
