Iran warns US
Iran’s top security official warns that if the US resumes its attacks on Tehran, the Islamic Republic will strike US bases and Washington’s interests in the region with greater force. The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Iran knows the US military’s vulnerabilities and is more prepared than ever to counter its air strikes. Major General Mohsen Rezaei noted that Iran has recently tested an anti-ship missile near a US aircraft carrier. He said Trump’s threats will yield no results and Iran is prepared for a decisive war. The top security official said it is in Washington’s interest to accept Iran’s conditions for exiting the war that include the release of frozen assets and the end of the naval blockade. Rezaei said these conditions have been communicated to the US via mediator Qatar. He said the US president’s assessments and calculations regarding Iran were flawed, and that the war was instigated by Netanyahu.
Riyadh explosions
Smoke has been seen rising near Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, with major flight disruptions amid rising tensions between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Residents in Riyadh reported explosions near the airport, while FlightRadar24 recorded significant delays and several cancellations. Witnesses say Aramco fuel tanks near the airport are on fire. No group has claimed responsibility yet, but the Yemeni army has increasingly launched attacks on Saudi targets in retaliation for the kingdom’s strikes on Yemeni cities. On Friday, Sana’a said Saudi Arabia carried out 26 attacks against areas under its control. The Yemeni government based in Sana’a has released a statement, accusing Saudi Arabia of Deash-style attacks in Yemen, saying that it reserves the right to respond to any Saudi action targeting Yemen’s security and stability.

The Iranian foreign minister has warned of a dangerous pattern in which military force is used as a permanent mechanism to reshape the political and security landscape of the region. Araghchi was speaking in a video message to the Global Town Hall conference. He said sustainable security can be achieved through dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect among the countries of the region, not through the military presence of foreign powers and the imposition of their will. He said if international law is ignored when the interests of great powers demand it, then there can be no talk of the rule of law. Araghchi stressed that the world needs multilateralism more than ever. He said every war has a cost far beyond the battlefield: Taxpayers pay the cost of wars, but common people pay the heaviest price with their lives, blood, homes, futures and security.
