Iran president CRICS address
Iran’s president has called on BRICS Plus countries to play a more effective role in defending the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of member states, as well as preventing the use of force against them. Masoud Pezeshkian told the BRICS Plus summit titled “resilience, innovation and cooperation” that economic resilience is not sustainable in the absence of security. Pezeshkian said the US-Israeli aggression against Iran and its economic and energy infrastructure has clearly shown how consequences of such moves quickly spill over to affect the wider region and the world. He said no one can speak about international law if no effective response is given to military aggressions and massacre of human beings. The president then said, Iran is ready to use its geopolitical, energy and transit potential to help expand trade and energy exchanges among member states. He further stressed that BRICS members have a common responsibility to act on the alliance’s slogans to make a future of growth, security and development available to everyone.
Israel Lebanon aggression
There seems to be no end in sight to Israeli aggression against Lebanon as attacks continue across southern parts of the country. Israeli artillery struck areas in the Nabatieh district, including Zawtar al-Sharqiyah. The regime’s military has maintained its campaign across the south despite a US-brokered ceasefire, carrying out deadly airstrikes, artillery fire, and ground operations. Over 4,300 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon since March the second.
Yemen retaliation
The Yemeni army says it has carried out a fresh operation targeting Saudi military positions deep inside the country. Yemen’s army spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the country’s Armed Forces carried out a qualitative operation targeting Saudi army’s weapons depots and command-and-control centers at a base in the Sharurah region. He added that the targeted base managed the Saudi aggression against Yemen. Saree said the operation was carried out using a large salvo of ballistic missiles and drones, which directly hit their targets with high precision. The spokesman also warned the criminal Saudi enemy that the continuation of its aggression against Yemen will be met with even more powerful and extensive operations deep inside its territory, whose aftermath will be dire for the kingdom.
