Slamming US aggression
Iran’s foreign ministry has condemned the US strikes on civilian targets in southern Iran, including an attack on a wedding party in the city of Sirik that killed and injured over 70 Iranians, majority of them women and children. The Iranian foreign ministry also called on regional countries to prevent the US from using their territory and equipment for carrying out acts of aggression on Iran. Separately, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said Iran's new strategy in war, diplomacy, and economic resistance will soon shatter the enemy's foundations. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also condemned the strikes, saying that if a power acts like Satan, picks targets like Satan, and kills like Satan, it is itself Satan. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson responded to CENTCOM’s denial of targeting civilians, noting documented US attacks on civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. He said the reality is so horrifying that even American propaganda has never dared claim the US does not target civilians. Apart from Sirik, other southern areas including in Khuzestan province saw new US attacks. A number of civilian facilities and infrastructure were also damaged in the fresh acts of aggression.
G20 fail to reach consensus
The Group of twenty major economies, known as the G-20, has failed to reach a unanimous joint statement following a two-day finance summit in North Carolina. Reports say that China was against language in the communiqué agreed by the US and other countries about eliminating 'non-market policies to curb global trade imbalances'. According to US and European officials, Beijing objected to several issues, including efforts to ensure smooth functioning of global supply chains for energy amid the fallout from the war on Iran. China also opposed the language on disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has effectively blocked until the US military ends its aggression against and fulfills its commitments.

Gaza is still reeling from Israeli strikes. Three Palestinians have been killed in fresh attacks. They include a woman who succumbed to her wounds after being shot in Deir al-Balah.
