Iran military power

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says Iran has been able to rebuild its military capabilities beyond what the enemies expected. In a televised message to the Iranian nation, Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran’s armed forces use every opportunity to rebuild their capabilities, adding that Tehran has the upper hand on the battlefield and the enemy has come to the conclusion that it cannot stop Iran’s missiles. He warned the enemies that in future wars, Iran will be more dominant. Ghalibaf said Iran is in full control of the Strait of Hormuz, adding that the enemy’s recent strikes were due to the country’s exercising authority over the strait.

'Battling US unilateralism'

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for countering US unilateralism and sanctions. Pezeshkian was meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. He stressed that the US aggression against Iran is in violation of international law, adding that world powers have no right to make an aggression in violation of international law. Pezeshkian also hailed Moscow’s support for Tehran, citing the two sides' strategic ties. Putin for his part emphasized that Russian people are in solidarity with the Iranians who are defending their interests. He said Russia and Iran have maintained an upward trend in their trade and economic relations over the past year, despite the recent escalation.

Rising Gaza casualties

Relentless Israeli strikes on Gaza have once again left Palestinians mourning their loved ones. Witnesses say Israeli warplanes fired at least 12 missiles near the Katiba area after a series of direct gunshots west of the city where displaced families had sought refuge. The bombardment killed at least 4 people. Two vehicles were also hit and reduced to twisted wreckage.
