US economic terrorism

Iran says the United States is resorting to economic coercion to pressure other nations into joining an “economic terrorism operation.” In a letter to the UN secretary-general, Security Council president and member states, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged the international community to condemn Washington’s unilateral coercive measures and secondary sanctions. He warned that silence could normalize further violations of the UN Charter and international law. Araghchi called on the US to immediately halt threats and pressure against third countries, while urging the UN to assess the humanitarian impact of Washington’s measures. The senior diplomat added that Iran also reserves the right to pursue all available legal avenues to seek compensation and justice, and to hold those responsible accountable for the consequences of these unlawful actions.

US economic war on Iran 

Iran’s parliament speaker has welcomed China’s rejection of the United States’ illegal sanctions against Iran. In a social media post, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the comprehensive strategic partnership between Iran and China is based on mutual respect, win-win cooperation, and a shared vision for a multipolar world. He asserted that the two countries need no one’s permission to maintain their strategic relationship. His remarks came after China’s Foreign Ministry said US sanctions targeting countries with economic exchanges with Iran have no legal basis in international law or UN Security Council mandate. It added that US economic war on Iran does not solve problems and only exacerbate the existing tensions. The ministry's statement came after the US announced a new wave of economic sanctions aimed at further isolating Iran from global trade. Washington warned all countries that they could lose access to US markets if they continued trading with Tehran.

Yemen retaliation

The Yemeni armed forces have carried out fresh missile attacks on the positions of Saudi-linked mercenaries in the port city of Al-Mokha. According to Yemeni sources, the missile strikes were carried out jointly by the country’s army and the Ansarullah movement. They added that missiles fired by Yemeni forces hit ammunition depots and positions of Saudi mercenaries in Al-Mokha with high precision. According to the latest reports, massive explosions followed Yemen’s missile strikes on Saudi mercenaries’ weapons depots. Heavy explosions were also reported in the city of Al-Khokha, in the south of Al-Hudaydah province, which is under the occupation of Saudi mercenaries. Yemen’s latest attacks came after the country’s senior military commanders warned Saudi Arabia that the balance of power has shifted in the region. They said Yemen has destructive weapons at its disposal and any hostile adventurism will provoke an immediate and decisive response.
