New security arrangements in region

Iran’s Parliament Speaker says Tehran has received numerous messages from neighboring countries about shaping new security arrangements. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says the United States has put the security of its regional allies at risk through bullying and pure disregard for their interests for the sake of Israel. He said a homegrown and independent regional order is the key to lasting peace and security. Ghalibaf also said neighboring countries are seeking to shape economic cooperation across the region. This comes two days after Trump announced what he called the “most crushing economic pressure” against Iran, claiming that any country that trades with Iran will “face tremendous economic consequences.” Various Persian Gulf states are allies of the United States and host American military bases, which have been targeted by Tehran in retaliatory strikes throughout the war.

Iran defense production

Iran's top military commander has visited an underground missile production site, warning that the enemy cannot fight against the determination of the Iranian nation. Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, toured the facility on Defense Industry Day. He was briefed on the production of ballistic and cruise missiles, drones, and air defense systems, including the Shahed-136 drone which has successfully bypassed Zionist air defenses. Abdollahi said production has improved significantly in both quality and quantity. Iran is now among the world's top ten missile powers and ranks sixth in drone technology.

Israel Lebanon aggression

Israel has carried out heavy shelling, airstrikes and demolition operations in southern Lebanon, in further violations of the ceasefire agreement. According to local media, Israeli forces shelled Al-Mansouri, on the outskirts of Majdal Zoun. The Israeli army carried out extensive demolition operations in the towns of Talloussah, Haddatha, Beit Yahoun, and Aita al-Jabal, along with machine-gun fire toward nearby valleys. Israeli warplanes also launched two raids on the Ali al-Taher heights and struck an area in the Bint Jbeil district. Artillery fire, reportedly using phosphorus shells, also targeted the outskirts of Kfar Reman from last night until dawn. Israeli drones continue flying over southern Lebanon. Lebanon’s Health Ministry says the death toll from Israeli attacks has reached 8,915, with over 30,500 people injured since October 2023.
