Ayatollah Khamenei commemoration
A memorial ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution has been held at Tehran's Grand Mosalla to mark the 40th day since he was laid to rest. Mourners gathered at the Grand Mosalla to remember Ayatollah Khamenei and to renew their allegiance to the new Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Ceremonies will also be held on Wednesday and Thursday in the shrine of Lady Masoumeh in the city of Qom and the shrine of Imam Reza in the city of Mashhad. The week-long funeral procession for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei witnessed over 40 million participants across Iran and in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala in Iraq. Symbolic funerals were also held in Lebanon and other countries. The martyred Leader was laid to rest alongside his family members in Mashhad.
Iran Hormuz Strait control
Iran’s parliament speaker says the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States fulfills its commitments under the Islamabad memorandum of understanding. Qalibaf said Washington reneged on its commitments after suffering a major political defeat. The parliament speaker added that Iran’s armed forces delivered a major blow to the US and Israel during the recent war. Ghalibaf noted that Iran is coordinating its diplomatic and military efforts to secure the country’s rights. He said the country won’t let go of the blood of the martyred leader, the innocent children of Minab and all other martyrs of the imposed war.
Israel West Bank crimes
Israeli forces have intensified raids across the occupied West Bank, arresting a Palestinian doctor and injuring several Palestinians. In Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested a 54-year-old gynecologist after raiding her home. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, in an area near Nablus, two Palestinians were injured after being beaten by Israeli soldiers. A young Palestinian man was also wounded by Israeli live fire north of Al-Quds. Meanwhile, the siege of the town of Qusra has entered its tenth day, with residents reporting limited access to food and essential supplies.
