'Aggression caused insecurity'
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said the current insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz is the direct result of US-Israeli aggression against Iran. Araghchi said US violations of the MoU to end the war, maritime sanctions and attacks on Iranian targets have escalated tensions. He also called on the international community to hold the aggressors accountable. Araghchi made the remarks in separate phone calls with his Greek and Austrian counterparts. The Iranian minister criticized European support for Israel and the European Union’s hypocritical approach to human rights. He condemned the bloc’s interventionist stance toward Tehran and its support for anti-Iran terrorist elements. During the calls, both European officials stressed diplomacy and restoring regional stability.
US aircraft wreckage exhibit
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps air defense says it has shot down 170 American and Israeli aircraft during the war on Iran. A report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting shows the wreckage of various aircraft, including that of an F-15 fighter jet, which a senior IRGC air defense officer said was intercepted using a modern missile system. It also shared images of shrapnel damage on an MQ-9 Reaper drone that was caused by newly developed missiles produced by Iranian scientists. The report further detailed the tracking and interception of US aircraft and Ukrainian-made drones, as well as new methods of drone guidance using Starlink. This comes as The Washington Post recently reported that the US military have lost roughly 25 percent of its Reaper drones during the war.
Israel Lebanon aggression
There’s no end in sight to Israeli crimes in Lebanon; the regime’s military has carried out fresh strikes on southern parts of the Arab country. Israeli warplanes hit the communal land of al-Mansouri in the Tyre district. The air raid comes as the regime’s forces have continued demolition operations across several villages and towns in southern Lebanon. A large explosion took place in the Mashaa al-Mansouri area. Machinegun fire was also reported on the outskirts of Majdal Zoun and al-Mansouri and in surrounding valleys. Israel’s aggression since March the second has killed more than 4,300 people and injured over 12,200 others in Lebanon.
