Netanyahu arrest warrant

Iran has slammed the US president’s move to shield the Israeli prime minister from being arrested under an International Criminal Court warrant. The Foreign Ministry’s spokesman said Donald Trump’s behavior is reminiscent of the rampant lawlessness in the Wild West. In a social media post, Esmaeil Baqaei asked how in the 21st century a self-appointed sheriff can post a “wanted” poster on social media and at once play judge, jury, and executioner whenever it suits him. He said a single social-media post cannot rewrite the law, override due process, and erase the rulings of a competent international court. He was reacting to an earlier post by Trump in which he said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will NOT be arrested if he visits the US. Netanyahu has been the subject of an ICC arrest warrant over war crimes in Gaza. New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, had said he was exploring whether his administration could arrest Netanyahu if he visited the city during the UN General Assembly meeting in September.

Yemen retaliatory operations 

The Yemeni army says it has carried out new strikes on Saudi-backed mercenaries in the country, inflicting heavy losses and casualties on them. The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces said the Saudi enemy’s troop buildups, weapons depots, and command posts were targeted in the Red Sea port city of al-Mokha, and the Tadaween camp in the Ma’rib province. Yahya Saree said the operation was carried out using a large number of ballistic missiles and drones. He added that the Yemeni forces’ strikes accurately hit their targets, leaving dozens of mercenaries dead and wounded, including a number of Saudis. Saree said Yemen’s armed forces will continue to target all Saudi troop buildups through which the Riyadh regime seeks to escalate tensions and control the country. He also warned those who have been misled or deceived into collaborating with the enemy to abandon the path of treason before it is too late.

Israel West Bank violations 

A senior UN official has expressed deep concern over the escalation of Israeli violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The Deputy Special Coordinator for West Asia warned that the occupied territory is at a breaking point as a result of the regime’s acts of aggression. Addressing a UN Security Council meeting, Al-Akbarov said since the beginning of 2026, 76 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, including 18 minors. He added that during the same period, 3,800 Palestinians, nearly half of them children, have been displaced due to settler violence, home demolitions and evictions. The UN coordinator said settler violence has reached unprecedented levels, with more than 1,400 incidents documented this year, resulting in casualties among Palestinians. Al-Akbarov also warned of a significant acceleration in Israel’s settlement activities and efforts made to consolidate its control across the occupied territory. He noted that while accountability for such crimes remains rare, all perpetrators must be brought to justice.
