Iran's demands for re-opening Srait of Hormuz
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says there are no direct talks with the United States currently and messages are exchanged only through mediators. He said talks with the United States cannot be resumed until Washington compensates for MOU violations.
According to him, Iran-Oman talks on a new maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz are in the final stages. Araghchi further stated that the opening of Hormuz Strait depends on conditions other than the Tehran-Muscat agreement.
The IRGC spokesperson also said the Strait of Hormuz will not reopen unless the US accepts Tehran's conditions.
This as Iran and Oman are inching closer to a full management regime for the Strait of Hormuz, once an open and free international waterway now the epicenter of permanent change as a result of US and Israeli aggression against Iran.
