Tunisia has witnessed a new wave of public concern following increases in the prices of hundreds of medicines.

While authorities argue that the adjustments are linked to rising costs and financial pressures on the pharmaceutical sector, critics warn that the move could further burden citizens already struggling with the rising cost of living. Tunisia’s largest labor union says it will not remain silent, accusing authorities of taking decisions without sufficient consultation.
