Iran retaliation

The Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has issued a serious warning to the US and its regional proxies, following recent attacks on southern Iranian regions. Major General Ali Abdollahi said the era of impunity for the American forces has definitively ended. In a social media post, the general warned that American troops and their mercenaries have now realized beyond any doubt that their coffins have become a standard part of their military equipment in West Asia. Citing martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, General Abdollahi asserted that the era of hit-and-run is long over. The statement came as Iran’s Armed Forces continue to exact a heavy toll on aggressor forces, proving that any hostile action against the country will be met with swift, inescapable retaliation. Some American officials and regional analysts have admitted that Iranian missiles are penetrating US and allied air defenses in West Asia with increasing frequency, causing mounting casualties among American service members.

US-Israel undermining UN

Iran says the US and Israel are the two main parties responsible for the global disregard for international law and the spread of impunity for crimes against humanity. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman made the comment in a social media post in reaction to the recent remarks by the UN chief. Antonio Guterres complained about an alarming disregard for international law, the spread of impunity, countries prioritizing military solutions over negotiated settlements, and an ever-widening circle of confrontation in West Asia. Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed the secretary general’s remarks, before asking Guterres why he shies away from naming the US and Israel as the two primary culprits for this situation. He urged the UN chief to name those who have provided absolute impunity to the perpetrators of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and aggression. Baghaei noted that by doing so, Guterres could prevent the United Nations and its normative system from sharing the same fate as the League of Nations.

US-Saudi Iraq aggression

Iraq has denied the US president’s allegation about informing the Iraqi government in advance before a recent attack on the Popular Mobilization Forces in cooperation with Saudi Arabia. An Iraqi government spokesperson said Baghdad did not approve deadly US-Saudi strikes on its territory. Haider al-Aboudi added that the government of Iraq did not have any knowledge of the strikes, and did not approve any attacks on specific sites or groups in Iraq. He said Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's expected visit to Saudi Arabia was "suspended" due to the attacks. The US-Saudi strikes on Wednesday killed at least 20 members of the Popular Mobilization Forces. The attacks came after Riyadh claimed it had intercepted drones coming from Iraq targeting the country’s oil facilities. Saudi Arabia then accused the Popular Mobilization Forces of the attack without providing any solid proof. The Iraqi resistance has categorically denied Riyadh’s accusations, warning that the response to attacks on Iraq is inevitable.
