Iran’s Army has conducted a seventh round of heavy drone strikes against American targets in the region in response to the United States’ violations against Iranian territory, targeting an airbase in Jordan that functions as a key facility used by American troops.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Army announced taking place of the strikes, which it defined as “the seventh phase of the Sa'eqeh (Lightning) Operation” against American military targets in the region.

The targets were identified as “the stationing area for F-18 fighter aircraft, troop accommodation buildings, and a large equipment warehouse belonging to the terrorist US army at Jordan's Azraq Airbase.”

The United States has staged numerous unwarranted attacks on Iranian soil, especially areas lying along the country’s southern coastline, amid Washington’s efforts to forcibly enable illegal maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has shut down the waterway in response to the violations, pledging to retain the closure until the US ended the interference.

Iran’s Armed Forces have, meanwhile, retaliated against every instance of the unprovoked aggression by striking sensitive and strategic American targets throughout the region.

The Army’s statement asserted, “The soldiers of the Iranian nation in the Army of the Islamic Republic will undoubtedly reinforce the great lesson and strategic message of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to the enemy,” identifying the lesson in question as “the era of hit-and-run is over.”

“Any action against the land, waters, or airspace of this historic nation will not go unanswered or without a proportionate cost,” the statement went on.

“These [retaliatory] operations will continue until final victory is achieved.”

On Monday, Army spokesman warned the United States that no measure of American aggression would force the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, following Tehran's decision to close the strategic waterway over the American violations.

"The aggressive and corrupt president of the United States must learn to respect international law, the rights of nations, and the dignity of peoples. As we have previously stated, the Strait of Hormuz will never be reopened through war, hostility, or acts of aggression by the United States,” Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia said.
