'Iran's strategic patience is paying off'
As tensions remain high between Iran and the United States, political commentator Ali Qwanbena says Tehran's strategy of combining military preparedness with diplomatic engagement has exposed Washington's inconsistent approach to negotiations.
He said that Iran and Oman are jointly safeguarding their sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, while maintaining that US military threats and shifting positions on a memorandum of understanding have undermined confidence in Washington's commitments. He also contends that recent US actions are unlikely to achieve their stated strategic objectives, emphasizing that Iran's "strategic patience" has strengthened its position in the ongoing standoff.
