Paying tribute to Iran martyred leader

Iran has begun the first day of funeral ceremonies for martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, with foreign dignitaries and religious figures paying tribute in Tehran. The body of Ayatollah Khamenei, along with those of his martyred family members, was transferred to Tehran's Grand Mosalla. It was placed in the main prayer hall ahead of a two-day public farewell ceremony. According to Iran's foreign ministry, nearly 100 countries have sent official delegations or prominent figures to attend the funeral ceremonies. The ministry said the guests include at least eight presidents or prime ministers, parliamentary speakers from 12 countries, foreign ministers, and special envoys from numerous countries. Religious scholars and cultural figures from Indonesia and Afghanistan were among the first foreign guests to pay their respects. Representatives of Iran's recognized religious minorities also attended the ceremony. Ayatollah Khamenei and a number of his family members lost their lives in a US-Israeli strike on the opening day of the recent 40-day war.

Iran Hormuz Strait control

Iran’s parliament speaker says Tehran will not allow any US interference in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that any act of aggression will be met with a firm response. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made the remark during a meeting with a senior Chinese lawmaker on the sidelines of the funeral ceremony for Iran’s martyred Leader. In a separate meeting with his Iraqi counterpart, Ghalibaf said the Memorandum of Understanding with the US includes important issues related to the management of the Strait of Hormuz. He said that under international law, the Hormuz Strait should be jointly managed by Iran and Oman as littoral states. In another meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Ghalibaf emphasized that Tehran will firmly demand the full implementation of the MoU already reached with the US. In separate meeting with a top member of Lebanon’s Amal movement, Ghalibaf said the blood of the martyred leader will be revenged when all Muslims are liberated from from US-Israeli oppression and cruelty.

Israel Lebanon aggression

The Israeli military has carried out fresh airstrikes on southern Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire agreement with the Arab country. According to Lebanese media, an Israeli drone struck an area near the town of Nabatieh. Elsewhere, in Bint Jbeil district, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the town of Braashit. Israeli forces also carried out attacks targeting several homes in the town of Hadatha. The strikes came despite a US-sponsored framework agreement signed on June 26th between Lebanon and the occupying regime, which mandated a phased Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory.
