'Iran doesn't bow to enemies'
President Masoud Pezeshkian says the Iranian government has not bowed to enemies’ imposed demands and won’t give in to such demands in the future. Pezeshkian was referring to recent negotiations taking place following an imposed war. He said the Islamic Republic will never retreat from the nation’s rights, its fundamental principles, and national interests under any circumstances. The Iranian president added that recent decisions by the Supreme National Security Council reflected a consensus to use diplomacy to consolidate achievements in the military domain, while safeguarding Iran’s interests. Pezeshkian also noted that the government will continue pursuing legal action against the United States and Israel over crimes committed against the Iranian people during the war.
US must stop IOF Lebanon attacks
Iran’s acting defense minister says the country is hand on trigger to give the proportionate response to any violation of the ceasefire under the memorandum of understanding with the US. Brigadier General Majid Ebn-o-Reza says Iran does not trust the enemy, noting that the US has already violated its obligations on several occasions. These, he said, add to the long record of betrayals of commitments and hostilities by the US. The general made the comments in a phone call with Qatari defense minister Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani. The Iranian general also noted that foreign forces are a threat to the security of the Persian Gulf, calling on regional countries to take security in their own hands. He and al-Thani also discussed the latest security developments in the region and joint coordination on defense.
Gaza funeral
The Israeli military continues its deadly airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The regime’s latest attack has killed several civilians in the Gaza City. The attack, which hit an area in the northern parts of the city, also left several others injured. This follows an overnight strike on the al-Mawasi camp in Khan Yunis that killed several others including a mother and a child. The attack also destroyed over a hundred tents belonging to displaced Palestinians. Israel has been killing Gazans on a daily basis, despite a ceasefire the regime agreed with Hamas last October. Gaza’s health ministry says the regime has killed over 73,000 Palestinians in the territory since October 2023.
